Spend a Breathtaking Holiday in Mallorca

Nestled in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, the Balearic Islands are a paradise for sun-seekers, nature enthusiasts, and culture lovers alike.

Located off the eastern coast of Spain, this archipelago consists of four main islands: Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. Each island possesses its own unique charm, offering visitors a diverse range of experiences, from stunning landscapes and historical treasures to idyllic beaches and a vibrant nightlife.

Mallorca, the Queen of the Balearics

Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands, is often called the "Queen of the Balearics" for its majestic beauty and rich cultural heritage. The island boasts an array of stunning landscapes, including the imposing Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, picturesque coastal villages, and pristine white-sand beaches. If you stay in the region, you can indulge in various activities such as hiking, cycling, and sailing, or simply relax on the sun-kissed shores. Don't miss the opportunity to explore Palma de Mallorca, the capital city's old town with an impressive Gothic cathedral and narrow, cobbled streets.

Visit Inca, and stay for a while

Nestled in the heart of Mallorca, the town of Inca stands as a vibrant hub of craftsmanship and tradition. While the island is often associated with its stunning beaches and natural wonders, Inca offers a unique glimpse into the artisanal heritage of Mallorca. Known as the "Leather City," Inca has been a center for leather production since the 13th century and continues to be a thriving hub for skilled artisans.

You have the unique chance to witness the artistry firsthand by exploring the various shops and boutiques that line the streets of Inca. From high-quality shoes and handbags, to belts and jackets, the leather products of Inca are renowned for their craftsmanship and attention to detail.

One of the best ways to experience the vibrant atmosphere of this town is by visiting on a Thursday, market day. The street market, stretching across the entire city center comes alive, offering a kaleidoscope of colors, scents, and flavors. Stroll through the market and immerse yourself in the lively ambiance as locals and visitors gather to buy fresh produce, local crafts, textiles, and of course, leather goods. It's a true celebration of Mallorcan culture and a chance to engage with the local community.

Inca and the surrounding areas were mass producers of wine between the 17th and 19th centuries, but the plague of phylloxera destroyed the industry. Traces of its wine production are still on show as many old wine cellars have been converted into restaurants and ooze with character thanks to the original winemaking artifacts on display. They are known as ‘celler’ restaurants and are best known for serving authentic Mallorcan food. The good news is that wine production in the area is on the rise again and with some top-quality wines being created by local vineyards. Don’t miss out on gems such as Restaurante Celler Ca´n Ripoll and Celler Sa Travessa, try a fresh Trempó salad in the heat, or Tumbet, a potato-based meal that almost whisper of home and comfort.

Inca has quite a mish-mash of architecture and there are a lot of buildings, monuments, and other sights of interest to culture vultures visiting the area. The churches are the main attraction, particularly the Baroque-style parish church of Santa Maria Maggiore, which was originally built in the year 1248. However, the present building dates back to the 18th century and is the third one occupying the same site. Other historical places of interest in the municipality of Inca, equally created in the baroque style, are the Convento Dominicano de Santo Domingo, the Church of San Francisco and its cloister, the Puig de Santa Magdalena and the Convento de Sant Bartomeu.

Now that you have gotten a taste of Mallorca and more specifically, Inca, it is time to see where you could be spending the most serene and peaceful days of your summer holiday.

Spend your summer holiday at Villa Can Rovey

If you're looking for an authentic and immersive experience in Inca, there's no better way than staying in a traditional Mallorcan finca. Finca, which means "estate" or "farmhouse" in Spanish, offers a unique opportunity to connect with the island's rich agricultural heritage and unwind in serene surroundings. Whether you're seeking relaxation, cultural immersion, or a deeper understanding of Mallorca's traditions, a finca stay promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you with cherished memories of your time in this enchanting part of the Balearic Islands.

Villa Can Rovey is a beautiful finca with two buildings, located in the rural surroundings of Inca. It has magnificent countryside views and can house up to 8 people, which means you can gather your friends and family and spend magical moments together.

The outdoor spaces are absolutely superb. First of all, you will find your very own saltwater pool and an integrated Jacuzzi plus an in which you can relax and unwind from your daily routines. There is an outdoor shower and 6 deck chairs for sunbathing but you will also find a large fenced area with fruit trees where reconnecting with nature will come easily. The property has two buildings:, the main one and one by the pool.

The main house has a fantastic furnished porch, designed for spending unforgettable evenings outdoors with family and friends. Beside the porch, you will find a large terrace where children can play safely. The building by the pool consists of a fixed barbecue, a large kitchen-dining room, a full bathroom, and a laundry area. Thanks to the second building you have direct access to the pool and its surroundings, while the main one has 2 floors with 4 double rooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room.

So wake up in the morning prepare a cold frappe and enjoy the fruit trees, then lounge by the gorgeous pool, read all of the books you have been saving up for this holiday and take a well-deserved nap in the outdoor covered sunbed area.
